بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Classroom privilege is an exciting initiative for learners especially with 8-12year old learners.
The 𝐕.𝐈.𝐏 privilege in a classroom can be used in many ways. I’ve tried the following methods:
1} I have written the names of my learners, folded them up and placed into a case and each day, I pick one out without letting anyone know the name. The name is then placed into a “used/done” case.
For the entire Madrasah time, every time he/she is exceeding expectations and doing very well, I make comments such as: “Mashā’ Allāh, the 𝐕.𝐈.𝐏 is doing his/her work so well” or “The 𝐕.𝐈.𝐏 is learning his Sabaq and following instructions mashā’ Allāh”.
(Take note that learners are still unaware who this learner is)
If the learner is misbehaving or not following instructions, I make comments such as: “I hope the 𝐕.𝐈.𝐏 is going to pay attention” or “I wonder if there’ll be a 𝐕.𝐈.𝐏 tomorrow”.

4 years ago, when I started method, I had the names of the learners written once each and placed into the case, which meant that each time a learner became the V.I.P, they knew that there is no chance of them becoming V.I.P again until the next round of names/until the entire class names have been exhausted. This also made it easy for them to guess whose name had been picked when there were a few learners left.
Thereafter, I have now written each learners name twice, folded up and placed into the case. The learners are now aware that their names can be picked again even if they have been V.I.P once already.
2} I’ve used the above method also with a weekly V.I.P system.
Method: If the learner’s name was picked on Monday, I would keep them on their toes till Friday to see who the V.I.P for next week is going to be. This also works very well. Alhumdulillāh.
See the pics below for “What privileges does a V.I.P get?” (This will differ from classroom to classroom) and “What happens if the learner doesn’t follow expectations?”
